  • Original Title: A Film About Kids and Music

Kids and Music is a project arising from a music class. Conducted by Joan Chamorro, the big band brings together children between 6 and 18 years old, around a classic jazz repertoire with lots of swing, which gained the public and sold-out some of the most important music auditoriums in Spain.

A Film About Kids and Music, The little stars of Sant Andreu Jazz Band

The little musicians of the Sant Andreu Jazz Band, located in Barcelona, prepare to share the stage with consecrated stars of the world of jazz like Jesee Davis and Wycliffe Gordon.

Just a few days away from the big concert, life takes place between the quotidian moments always brightened by jamming sessions or the usual domestic practice and, on the other hand, the rigorous rehearsals led by the eloquent and strict band director, saxophonist Joan Chamorro.

In this film, Ramon Tart presents us a convergence of generations in which passion and  consistency are common values, just what it takes to draw a musical instrument to its full potential. A friendly and simple narrative, based on an observational treatment of what is happening on screen, allows us to enjoy the film in the company of the whole family and live together a memorable experience.
