Adina Howard is an American singer, songwriter, and actress who rose to fame with her 1995 hit “Freak Like Me.” Born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Howard began singing at an early age, eventually earning a spot in the local gospel choir.

Howard’s breakthrough came in 1995 when she released her debut single “Freak Like Me”. The song was an instant hit, reaching number two on the Billboard Hot 100 and becoming an international R&B classic. The accompanying album, Do You Wanna Ride?, also went gold.
