A filmmaker is stranded at the airport in Dakkar, Senegal. In this short film, she launches images of this journey spun by her reflections on the concept of borders.

56. Trapped in Senegal

A body swimming under the crystalline waters of a southern beach. The wings of an airplane crossing the clouds at sunset. The inert chairs of an airport in a third world country.

This is Dakkar, Senegal. Colombian filmmaker Irene Lema finds herself stranded at the airport of the capital of this country without a passport due to immigration procedures.

This short documentary is a fleeting reflection on travel and the borders we cross on them.
