Shih, rediscovering my father in Taiwán

After twenty years without seeing him, Paola Shih decides to fulfill his father´s wish and returns to Taiwan to live with him for indefinite time. Leaving Barcelona and undertaking the revealing journey is not an easy thing to do. Her mother always knew this moment would come and has encourage her to go on. In addition, her boyfriend's company during the move and adaptation to Taiwanese culture is a crucial support for her.

The camera of directors Rafael Ortega Valderrain and Bruno Saffora becomes a sigile confidante of the daily life that father and daughter construct in the small apartment or in the streets of the city. Among the quotidian moments they share emerge harsh but comforting truths that brings them together. Shih's desire to evolve seems to be camouflaged behind her modest and quiet personality, but it finds its utmost expression when she is confronts a sad but convenient farewell in the twilight of the film.
