The Forecaster, the man behind the international financial metabolism

Constructed as a financial thriller, The Forecaster is the portrait of one of the most important figures of the economic world in the last thirty years. He is Marting Amstrong, an American financial consultant who gained recognition after predicting a series of crises and recoveries in the most important markets in the world with years in advance all of which did actually occur.

Directed by Marcus Vetter and Karin Steinberg, the documentary's narrative is based in a lecture that Amstrong gives in Philadelphia a few days after he leaves the prison where he spent eleven months accused of fraud. His own testimony and that of several experts and colleagues located in Australia, Bangock, Vancouver and Newyork give a prismatic view to the story of a man who dared to unveil the natural rules of global capitalism.
