Adesuwa Addy Iyare is an emerging Nigerian-American actress, writer, and producer. She was born in Nigeria, and raised in the United States. Adesuwa is a graduate of Harvard University, where she majored in Social Anthropology.

Adesuwa started her acting career in college, when she was cast in a student film. She then went on to perform in various plays, including A Raisin in the Sun, and Fences. Adesuwa also took part in several theatre festivals, and was part of the National Black Theatre Festival.

Adesuwa has appeared in numerous television shows and movies, including "The Vampire Diaries," "The Originals," "The Good Wife," "Law and Order: SVU," "Graceland," and "The Night Of." She also has recurring roles in the Netflix series "Dear White People," and the Amazon Prime series "Hanna." Adesuwa has also starred in the films "The Birth of a Nation," "I Can I Will I Did," and "Chi-Raq."

Adesuwa is also a prolific writer and producer. She has written and produced a number of short films, including "The Wave," and "The Music Man." She also wrote and produced the feature film, "The Price of Silence," which was selected for the Toronto International Film Festival.
