BIO

Brent Yontz is an award-winning director and storyteller who has been creating content for over a decade. His work has been featured in national campaigns, festivals, and networks such as HBO, Showtime, and Amazon. Born and raised in North Carolina, he has a passion for creating compelling stories that inspire, move, and evoke emotion.

Brent began his career as an editor and VFX artist in Los Angeles. He quickly developed a love for storytelling and directing that he hasn’t let go of since. His work has been recognized at festivals such as SXSW, Tribeca Film Festival, and Sundance. He has also won several awards including a 2019 Grand Jury Prize for Best Short Film at the Austin Film Festival and a 2020 Best Director of a Short Film award from the Los Angeles International Film Festival.

Brent’s biggest project to date is his feature film, “A Million Miles Away”, a drama set in the Appalachian Mountains. The film follows a young man’s journey of self-discovery as he comes to terms with his family’s past and his own identity. The film was met with critical acclaim and won several awards, including the Grand Jury Prize at the Austin Film Festival and the Audience Award at the Los Angeles International Film Festival.

Brent’s work has appeared on many platforms including HBO, Showtime, and Amazon Prime Video. He is also an experienced commercial director, having worked with brands such as Apple, Microsoft, and Microsoft Xbox. He is currently developing a feature film based on the life of a young woman who discovers her true identity and the courage to live it.
