Britton Watkins is an award-winning director, producer, and writer of feature films, television series, and shorts. Born in San Francisco, California, he studied filmmaking at the University of Southern California.
His feature film career began in 2008 with the drama “The Department of Nothing,” which was nominated for a Student Academy Award. His follow-up feature, “A Good Old Fashioned Orgy,” won the Audience Award at the Los Angeles Film Festival.
In 2012, Watkins directed the family comedy “Parental Guidance” starring Billy Crystal and Bette Midler. The film garnered critical acclaim and was a box office hit, grossing over $100 million worldwide.
In 2014, Watkins directed the acclaimed drama “The Skeleton Twins,” starring Bill Hader and Kristen Wiig. The film was nominated for numerous awards, including an Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay.
