Dan Storey is a British film director from the U.K. He is known for his work in independent film and television, including the award-winning feature film "The Dark Island".

Storey was born in London, England, and grew up surrounded by the arts. His mother was a potter, and his father was an architect. From a young age, Storey was surrounded by creative influences, and developed a passion for filmmaking.

Storey studied film and television production at the University of Westminster. After graduating, he worked as a freelance director and editor for various production companies. He also wrote, directed, and edited short films for festivals in the U.K.

In 2013, Storey wrote and directed his first feature film, "The Dark Island". The film received widespread critical acclaim, and won several awards at film festivals around the world. It was distributed in the U.K. by Picturehouse Entertainment, and in the U.S. by Sundance Selects.

Since then, Storey has gone on to direct several other feature films and television projects. He has also directed music videos for artists such as Taylor Swift, The 1975, and Mark Ronson.

Storey is currently developing a feature film adaptation of the novel 'The Mother' by Toni Morrison. He is also in pre-production on a feature film about the life of legendary singer/songwriter Bob Dylan.
