David Auerbach is an American film director, writer, and producer. He is best known for his work in both independent and mainstream films, which have achieved critical and commercial success. He has directed several feature films, television series, and documentaries.

David Auerbach was born in Los Angeles, California. He attended the University of Southern California, graduating in 1990 with a degree in film production. He then began his career directing music videos for artists such as Stevie Wonder, Diana Ross, and Janet Jackson. He then moved on to directing commercials for clients such as Coca-Cola, Microsoft, and Nike.
