BIO

David Serero is a French-American theater, film, and opera director, producer, and media artist. He was born in Paris, France, and grew up in New York City, where he attended the High School of Performing Arts. He studied acting at the Lee Strasberg Institute and the American Musical and Dramatic Academy, and went on to pursue a career as a theater and opera director, producer, and media artist.

Serero has been involved in a wide variety of projects, from live action to video art, performance art to multimedia, and music to theater. He has directed and produced theatrical plays and operas in the United States, Europe, and Israel. His projects have been seen in theaters in New York City, London, Paris, Amsterdam, and Tel Aviv. He has also directed and produced film and television projects, including the feature film “The Jew”, which was distributed in the United States, Canada, and Israel.

Serero is also a media artist, creating interactive video and sound installations. His works have been presented at the Brooklyn Museum, the New Museum of Contemporary Art, and the Museum of Modern Art, among others. He has also created and produced digital media projects for major international companies, including Microsoft, Google, and IBM.

Serero has also served as a professor and guest lecturer at many universities and colleges, including the University of Paris, the University of North Carolina, and the New School for Social Research. He has also been a contributor to several publications, including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and Vanity Fair.

Serero has received numerous awards and honors for his work, including the Distinguished Artist Award from the National Endowment for the Arts and the European Cultural Award. In 2012, he was appointed to be a Member of the Order of Arts and Letters by the Ministry of Culture and Communication in France.
