Erik Greenberg is a renowned American director and producer. He is best known for his work in films such as The Muppets, Meet the Fockers, and What Women Want.

Born in New York City on February 15, 1960, Greenberg was raised in a Jewish family and attended the High School of Performing Arts. After graduating, he went on to study film at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, where he graduated with honors.

Upon graduating, Greenberg began working as an assistant director on several independent films. He soon began directing his own films, beginning with the feature-length drama American Strays (1996). This was followed by the independent film The Muppets (1999), which became an instant classic and launched Greenberg’s career into the mainstream.

After The Muppets, Greenberg directed Meet the Fockers (2004), which grossed over $516 million at the box office and was a huge success. He then went on to direct What Women Want (2000), which grossed over $374 million worldwide and was nominated for two Academy Awards.

Greenberg has also directed episodes of popular TV shows such as Friends, ER, and The West Wing. He has also directed a number of documentaries, including The Life and Times of Hank Greenberg (2005) and The History of the Jews in America (2008).
