Filippo Ticozzi is an Italian director, screenwriter, and producer. He has been directing and producing films since the early 2000s. His work has been shown at various film festivals and has received several awards.

He was born in Milan, Italy in 1977. He studied at the University of Milan, where he graduated with a degree in Cinema and Media Arts. He was also a student at the Civica Scuola di Cinema di Milano, where he studied directing, producing, and screenwriting.

In 2003, his first feature film, Appunti per un filmino sull'amore, was released. The film was an adaptation of a novel by the Italian author, Alberto Moravia. It was well received and won the Nastro d'Argento award for Best First Film.

In 2006, he wrote and directed the critically acclaimed film, L'ultima volta che vidi Firenze. The film was nominated for the David di Donatello award for Best Picture. It was also nominated for the Golden Globe Award for Best Foreign Language Film.

In 2009, he wrote and directed Il primo giorno di primavera. The film was a romantic comedy about a young professor and his relationship with a student. The film was a commercial and critical success and won the David di Donatello award for Best Picture.

In 2012, he wrote and directed the drama, Una notte da leoni. The film was a critical success and won the David di Donatello award for Best Picture.

In 2014, he wrote and directed the documentary, Grazie mille. The film was an exploration of the lives of four Italian immigrants living in the United States. It was a critical success and won the Nastro d'Argento award for Best Documentary Film.
