Ines Thomsen is a German director, producer, and screenwriter. She is best known for her feature films, documentaries, and short films. Born in Essen, Germany in 1979, Thomsen developed a passion for filmmaking early on. She studied at the University of Television and Film Munich and the Hamburg Media School, graduating in 2007.
Thomsen's first feature film, "The Empty House" (2009), was an international success, winning numerous awards, including Best Director at the Venice International Film Festival.
