Isabelle Hayeur is a French Canadian director, producer, and cinematographer. She has been making films for over twenty years and is best known for her documentary work. Her films often focus on environmental and social issues, and have been screened at numerous festivals around the world.

Born in Montreal, Quebec, Hayeur studied film at Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM). After graduating, she began working as a director and cinematographer, and eventually worked on various feature films. She also directed several short films, including “The Voice of the Wind” and “The Voice of the Earth”, which were both nominated for a Genie Award.

In 2004, Hayeur moved to Paris to pursue her career in filmmaking. She has since directed and produced several documentaries, including “Graines de Liberté”, “Le Patrimoine des Rives”, and “The Seeding”, which was awarded Best Feature Documentary at the International Documentary Film Festival in Amsterdam.

Hayeur’s latest feature-length documentary, “À Travers les Rêves” (Through Dreams), tells the story of a group of young people in Montreal who are trying to build a better world. The film has been nominated for several awards, including the 2017 Prix Gémeaux for Best Documentary Series.

Hayeur is passionate about using her films to raise awareness about the environment and social justice. She also regularly works with environmental organizations such as Greenpeace and the World Wildlife Fund.

In addition to filmmaking, Hayeur is also an active member of the Quebec film industry. She is a founding member of the Association des Réalisateurs et Réalisatrices du Québec (ARRQ) and has served on the board of the Documentary Organisation of Canada.

Isabelle Hayeur is a talented filmmaker who is passionate about using her work to promote social and environmental justice. Her films have been screened around the world, and she continues to use her platform to highlight important causes.
