BIO

Karoline Arn is a renowned film director and producer from Germany. She has worked on some of the most internationally acclaimed films of the past decade, including the Academy Award nominated “The White Ribbon” and “The Baader Meinhof Complex”.

Arn began her career in the entertainment industry as a producer in 1995, when she formed her own production company, ARTEK Film. She then worked on a number of short films and documentaries before making her feature film debut in 2002 with the romantic comedy “The Best of All Worlds”. The film was well received by critics and audiences alike and launched Arn’s career as a feature film director.

Since then, Arn has continued to work on numerous critically acclaimed films. In 2006, she directed “The White Ribbon”, which was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film and won the Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival. She followed this up with the acclaimed “The Baader Meinhof Complex” in 2008, which was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film and won the Silver Bear at the Berlin International Film Festival.

In addition to her feature film work, Arn has also directed a number of television series, including the crime drama “Tatort” and the award-winning drama “The Last Kingdom”. She has also been involved in a number of other television projects, including the series “Hausen” and the miniseries “Die Welle”.
