Kat Tolkovsky is a renowned director, producer, and screenwriter from Tel Aviv, Israel. She was born in 1969 and is most well-known for her work on the films, Big Bad Wolves and A Quiet Heart.

Tolkovsky attended the Sam Spiegel Film and Television School in Jerusalem, where she received her degree in directing. After graduating, she wrote and directed her debut short film, Between the Lines, which won the Best Short Film award at the Jerusalem Film Festival and was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Live Action Short Film.

Tolkovsky made her feature film debut in 2003 with the horror-thriller, Big Bad Wolves. The film was praised for its innovative and unique style, and was an international success. She followed up with A Quiet Heart, a drama about a woman struggling with depression.
