Laura Cini is an award-winning director, writer, and producer who has been active in the film industry since the late 1990s. She has directed, written, and produced a number of films, documentaries, and television projects.

Laura was born in Northern California and grew up in Los Angeles, California. She attended the University of California, Los Angeles and graduated with a degree in film and television. After college, she went on to study at the American Film Institute, where she graduated with her Master of Fine Arts degree.

Laura launched her directing career with the short film “The Dreamer” in 1998. The film was well-received and made its way into the 2000 Sundance Film Festival. This success opened doors for Laura and she began to write and direct a number of other projects, such as short films, feature films, and documentaries.

In 2006, she wrote and directed her first feature film, “Gone.” The movie was a critical success, earning Laura an Independent Spirit Award nomination for Best First Feature. In 2008, she wrote and directed the documentary “The Real Dirt on Farmer John,” which won the Jury Prize at the Slamdance Film Festival.

In addition to her work as a director, Laura has also produced a number of projects, including the television series “The Goode Family” and the documentary “The Invisible War.”

Laura has also worked as a consultant for a number of organizations, including the Sundance Institute, the Creative Coalition, and the Tribeca Film Institute.

Laura currently lives in Los Angeles and continues to work in the film industry. Her latest project is a feature film titled “The Farewell,” which is set to be released in 2021.
