Marc Serpa Francoeur is an acclaimed filmmaker, producer, and director from Canada. He has over 20 years of experience in the film and television industry, and has helmed several acclaimed documentaries and feature films.

Born in Montreal, Canada, in 1977, Marc grew up with a passion for the arts. He attended the Mel Hoppenheim School of Cinema at Concordia University, where he earned a degree in Film Studies. After graduating, he moved to Toronto to pursue a career in film.

Marc started his career as an editor and assistant director, and soon began directing his own short films. He continued to hone his craft while directing music videos for various artists, including The Tragically Hip and The Zolas. In 2010, he directed his first feature film, “The End of Love,” which won Best Canadian Feature at the Toronto International Film Festival.

Marc has since directed several award-winning documentaries, including “The Last Seats at the End of the World” (2015) and “The Land of the Living Dead” (2017). He also directed the critically acclaimed feature film “The Fireflies Are Gone” (2018), which won Best Canadian Feature at the Toronto International Film Festival.

In addition to his work as a director, Marc has also served as a producer on several films and documentaries. His producing credits include “City of Tiny Lights” (2016) and “The Fireflies Are Gone” (2018).
