Martijn Kramer is a Dutch film director, producer, and screenwriter. He is best known for his work on the feature films Little Big Pandemonium and The Misfits, as well as his work on television series such as The Bachelor and The Voice.
Kramer was born in Amsterdam, the Netherlands in 1975. He studied film at the University of Amsterdam and later at the Dutch Film Academy. After graduating in 2002, Kramer started his career in television, directing various shows such as Big Brother, The Bachelor, and The Voice. He went on to direct his first feature film, Little Big Pandemonium, in 2006. The film was well received and was nominated for several awards, including the Dutch Film Festival's Golden Calf Award for Best Film.
Kramer then went on to direct The Misfits, a romantic comedy starring Dutch actors Anneke Blok and Jeroen Spitzenberger. The film was a box office success and received critical acclaim. Kramer was later nominated for another Golden Calf Award for his work on the film.
In addition to his work in film and television, Kramer has also directed several short films over the years. His most recent short film, A Simple Plan, was selected as one of the best Dutch short films at the Netherlands International Film Festival in 2018.
Apart from his film and television work, Kramer is also an active member of the Dutch Film Academy, where he serves on the board of directors. He is also a sought-after lecturer and panelist, having been invited to speak at numerous international events.
