Olivia Kastebring is a Swedish filmmaker and director. She is best known for her work in the documentary genre, particularly for her award-winning films such as “The Reunion” (2014), “The Road Will Never End” (2016), and “Crest” (2018).

Kastebring was born in Stockholm, Sweden in 1988. She grew up in a family of filmmakers, and was inspired by her father's work in the industry. She studied film at Stockholm University, and then went on to pursue a degree in directing from the renowned Swedish film school, Dramatiska Institutet.

Kastebring started her career as a director in 2011 with the short film “The Way We Are”. She followed this with her first feature-length documentary, “The Reunion” (2014). The film follows four childhood friends as they reconnect after decades apart. The film was a huge success, winning several awards including the Grand Jury Prize for Best Documentary at the Los Angeles Film Festival.

Kastebring continued to explore the documentary genre with her next film, “The Road Will Never End” (2016). The film follows two women as they travel from Sweden to Morocco, exploring the struggles and joys of life on the road. The film was met with critical acclaim and won numerous awards, including Best Documentary at the Gothenburg Film Festival.

Kastebring's most recent work is her feature-length documentary “Crest” (2018). The film looks at the experiences of a group of Swedish teens as they navigate the complexities of growing up in an ever-changing world. The film has been praised for its honest and nuanced look at the lives of teenage girls, and won the Grand Jury Prize for Best Documentary at the Sundance Film Festival.
