Olivia Kastebring is a Swedish filmmaker and director. She is best known for her work in the documentary genre, particularly for her award-winning films such as “The Reunion” (2014), “The Road Will Never End” (2016), and “Crest” (2018).
Kastebring was born in Stockholm, Sweden in 1988. She grew up in a family of filmmakers, and was inspired by her father's work in the industry. She studied film at Stockholm University, and then went on to pursue a degree in directing from the renowned Swedish film school, Dramatiska Institutet.
Kastebring started her career as a director in 2011 with the short film “The Way We Are”. She followed this with her first feature-length documentary, “The Reunion” (2014). The film follows four childhood friends as they reconnect after decades apart.
