Sara Broos is a Swedish director, actor, and screenwriter. She is best known for her directing work in the films "The Ketchup Effect" (2003), "A Summer Tale" (2006), and "The Heart of the World" (2008).

Born in Stockholm, Sweden in 1976, Sara Broos grew up in a family of film makers. Her father was an actor and film maker, while her mother was a film editor. When she was 7 years old, she began her own film career, starring in her father's films. She was always drawn to the process of telling a story, and it soon became her passion.

When she was 14 years old, Broos wrote and directed her first short film, which won her the Swedish short film award. She then went on to study film at the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, graduating in 1997.

After graduation, Broos began her career as a director by making short films, which have been screened at film festivals around the world. In 2003, she made her feature film debut with "The Ketchup Effect," a coming-of-age comedy about a teenage girl's struggle with her parents. The film was a success and won several awards, including the Best Film Award at the Gothenburg Film Festival.

In 2006, Broos released her second feature film, "A Summer Tale," which tells the story of a young girl's summer romance. The film was an even bigger success than her first, winning the Best Film Award at the Berlin International Film Festival.

In 2008, Broos released her third feature film, "The Heart of the World," which tells the story of a young woman's journey of discovery. The film was a critical success and won multiple awards, including Best Film Award at the Stockholm International Film Festival.

Throughout her career, Broos has won multiple awards for her work, including two Swedish Guldbagge Awards for Best Director. Her films have been screened at over 50 film festivals, and she is considered one of the most successful Swedish directors of her generation.
