Santiago Fillol (1951- ) is a film director and producer from Argentina. He is best known for his work on the critically acclaimed movie, The Motorcycle Diaries (2004).

Born in 1951 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Santiago Fillol grew up in a family of passionate film lovers. His father, a doctor, and his mother, an artist, taught him to appreciate the art of cinema from an early age. He studied film at the University of Buenos Aires and developed a passion for filmmaking.

He began his career as a director and producer in the late 1980s. His first film, The Last Train, won the Silver Condor award at the Argentine Academy of Cinematography’s Film Festival in 1989. The movie was a moderate success, but it marked Fillol's entry into the world of filmmaking.
