Fatima Jebli Ouazzani is a Moroccan film director and producer. She was born in Marrakesh in 1966 and grew up in a small village in the north of Morocco. She studied economics and business administration at the University of Marrakech before pursuing a career in film.
Ouazzani began her film career in the early 2000s, when she directed her first feature film, “Mogador”, which premiered at the 2003 Cannes Film Festival. The film was a critical success, and it won several awards including the Jury Prize at the Venice Film Festival that same year.
