Simon Mozgovyi is a Russian film director, animator and producer who is best known for his unique and visually striking films. He was born in 1979 in Moscow, Russia, and began his career as an animator and graphic designer for the renowned Russian animation studio "Soyuzmultfilm" in 1997. After a few years of working in the industry, Simon decided to pursue his passion for filmmaking and in 2004, he directed his first short film "The Last Leaf".

The Last Leaf was an instant success and immediately established Simon as a talented and innovative director. Since then, his work has been highly acclaimed, earning him numerous awards, including the prestigious Golden Eagle Award for Best Short Film in 2006.

Simon's next project was a feature-length animation entitled "The Snow Queen" which was released in 2007 and went on to become a huge hit in Russia. The film was praised for its beautiful visuals and unique story and was even nominated for an Academy Award for Best Animated Feature.

Simon has since gone on to direct and produce a number of ambitious projects, including the critically acclaimed "The Mystery of the Third Planet" (2009) and the ambitious epic "Svyatogor" (2013). He has also worked on a number of television projects, including the popular "Cossacks: The Return of the Warriors" series.

Simon's latest film, "Tears of Fire", is a psychological drama about a young girl who must come to terms with her own identity. The film was released in 2015 and was highly praised for its unique visuals and emotional story.
