Soufiane Adel is a Moroccan-born filmmaker, director and producer. He has worked on a wide range of international projects in Europe, North Africa, America and Asia.

Adel grew up in Morocco and graduated from the prestigious École Nationale des Arts et de la Culture in Rabat, Morocco. After graduating, he moved to Paris, France to pursue a career in filmmaking. He began his career in the French film industry as an assistant director and worked his way up to become a full-time director.

Adel’s first feature film was the critically acclaimed ‘The Road to Redemption’. The movie follows the story of a young man’s journey from Morocco to Europe in search of a better life. He is faced with the challenge of dealing with the difficult situation in Europe and the harsh realities of life. This movie won several awards at the International Film Festival in Marrakech and was praised by critics for its unique and compelling story.

Adel followed up his debut with the feature film ‘The Silent Ones’. The movie follows the struggles of four generations of a family living in a small village in Morocco. It is a story of the power of faith and the strength of family ties. The movie was selected at several international festivals and won many awards.

Adel has also directed several documentaries. His most recent documentary, ‘The Last Sufi’, was an official selection at the Cannes Film Festival in 2016. The film focuses on the life of a Sufi master living in North Africa and his struggle to maintain his traditions in the face of the modern world. The film has been praised for its thoughtful and honest portrayal of the Sufi tradition.

Adel’s work has been shown at numerous festivals and has been featured on international television shows and networks such as BBC, NHK, and PBS. Additionally, he is the recipient of several awards including the Directors Guild of Morocco Award for Best Director, the Best International Documentary Award at the Raindance Film Festival and the Grand Prize at the International Documentary Film Festival in Milan.
