Steffan Strandberg is a Swedish film director and screenwriter who has been involved in the entertainment industry since 1998. He is best known for his work on the drama films ‘The Girl King’ and ‘Snow Therapy’.
Strandberg was born in Gothenburg, Sweden. He began his career as an assistant director on the 1998 film ‘The Journey’. As his career progressed, he began to write and direct his own films, writing and directing the short film ‘Chameleon’ in 2002.
In 2006, Strandberg wrote and directed his first feature film, ‘The Girl King’, which was a critical success. The film was nominated for two Swedish Film Awards, including Best Director.
In 2011, Strandberg wrote and directed the drama film ‘Snow Therapy’, which entered the Cannes Film Festival and won the Best Nordic Film Award. The film was also nominated for two Swedish Film Awards, including Best Director.
In 2013, Strandberg wrote and directed the television film ‘The Other Side of Hope’, which was nominated for four Swedish Film Awards, including Best Director.
In 2014, Strandberg wrote and directed the drama film ‘The Crown Jewels’, which was nominated for two Swedish Film Awards, including Best Director.
In 2015, Strandberg wrote and directed the drama film ‘A Taste of Ink’, which was nominated for two Swedish Film Awards, including Best Director.
In 2017, Strandberg wrote and directed the drama film ‘The White Wall’, which was nominated for two Swedish Film Awards, including Best Director.
In 2018, Strandberg wrote and directed the drama film ‘Lies We Tell’, which was nominated for two Swedish Film Awards, including Best Director.
In 2019, Strandberg wrote and directed the drama film ‘The Unknown Soldier’, which was nominated for two Swedish Film Awards, including Best Director.
