Tamer Ezzat is an Egyptian director, producer, and screenwriter. He is best known for his work on films such as The Circus (2005), The Yacoubian Building (2006), and The Citizen (2013).
Ezzat was born in 1975 in Cairo, Egypt, and graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts in 2000. After graduating, he worked as a freelance director and producer. In 2004, he directed and produced his first feature film, The Circus, which was a critical and commercial success. The film won several awards, including Best Film at the Cairo International Film Festival and the FIPRESCI Prize at the Toronto International Film Festival.
