Ulysse Lefort is a French film director, producer, and screenwriter who has been making films since the early 2000s. He is best known for his work on the feature films "Aya of Yop City" (2008) and "Dégradé" (2015), both of which received acclaim from critics.

Lefort was born in Paris, France in 1980. He began his career as an assistant director on various French productions, before making his directorial debut with the short film "Le Chapeau" in 2005. The film was well-received by critics and won several awards, including the Best Short Film Award at the Clermont-Ferrand Film Festival.

Lefort's feature film debut was the 2008 French-Ivoirian drama "Aya of Yop City", which was critically acclaimed and won the Jury Prize at the Cannes Film Festival. The film follows the story of a young girl living in an African city as she navigates the complexities of life and coming of age.
